Project Overview
This project is based on the Second Kenya AIDS Strategic Framework 2020/21-2024/25, which outlines the national HIV response’s priorities and strategies and guides Kenya’s response to the epidemic. The project targets PWIDs and vulnerable populations (truckers, discordant couples, and men in high-risk settings) in Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, and Makueni. The project provides targeted people with biomedical, structural, and behavioural HIV services per Kenya’s MoH KPs and VPs Guidelines.
Objectives of the project
- Provide PWIDs, Truckers, discordant couples, and MHRS with HIV prevention programs per the defined service package.
- Provide HIV Testing Services to PWIDs, Truckers, discordant couples, and Men at High-Risk Settings (MHRS), all receiving test results.
- Initiate and retain PWIDs, Truckers, discordant couples, and MHRS on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
- Ensure a human rights-based approach to HIV by addressing the structural and social barriers to accessing fair and non-discriminatory treatment in the health and justice systems.

Our clinics are located at ‘hotspots’ such as border posts, transit towns or ports where large numbers of trucks stop, load and offload and where sex work and informal trades flourish. Most are open late, tailored to the hours of our core target populations.
