All of us at North Star Alliance are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of life following the crash of Malaysian Airlines MH17 over eastern Ukraine yesterday.

Several of our friends and colleagues were killed in the crash while en route to the International AIDS Society meeting in Melbourne, Australia. Their loss will be intensely felt and their presence sorely missed. We wish to send our deepest condolences and sympathies to their families, friends, and loved ones.
