Meet Our Supervisory Board

We are proud of our committed and diverse board members, driven by our common goal to provide quality healthcare to mobile workers and the communities they interact with.

Mr. Bernard Kadasia

Chair of the Supervisory Board.

Bringing 35 years of experience in technical, managerial and leadership positions across government, civil society, private sector, and international non-governmental organisations, Bernard is an active member of the Alliance for Health Promotion, becoming President in 2012. Most recently the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Policy and Advocacy, Research Promotion and Communications for the International AIDS Society, Bernard previously spent 17 years with the International Co-operative Alliance as Director of the Regional Office for East, Central and Southern Africa

Ms. Caroline Barber

Member of the Supervisory Board.

Caroline is chief executive at Transaid. Previously she was head of programmes for six years. Caroline has also worked in Zambia as a Project Manager for Transaid’s Professional Driver Training Project and has also undertaken work for Transaid in Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Nigeria and Sri Lanka. Caroline joined Transaid from Wincanton, a leading supply chain and logistics company, where she previously held roles in project management and business development.

Dr. Haachile Moonga

Member of the Supervisory Board.

Haachile is a senior medical doctor who has worked for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Zambia for over 5 years. He is currently the District Health Director for Serenje District after having served in the same capacity in another district. His role involves coordinating all health-related activities in the community, supervising a team of 17 managers, each with their own speciality from planning, nutrition, clinical services, environmental health, maternal-Child health, accounting, procurement, Health Informatics and pharmacy. His role also involves policy implementation, supervision of cooperating partner activities and first-level health care services in the district. In his years of service, he has gained experience as a medical doctor practitioner and health care services manager. He still practices as a general medical practitioner at the district hospital till date. He is happily married with three children aged 2, 4 and 8. He enjoys travelling and various sports with friends and family in his free time.

Ms. Kawien Ziedses des Plantes

Member of the Supervisory Board.

Kawien currently works for social impact investor and global cooperative Oikocredit and has acquired almost ten years’ experience within the development economics world. In her current position as Global Social Performance Specialist, she shares responsibility for the selection, approval and supervision of worldwide programmes for micro, small and medium sized enterprises and smallholder farmers. Having spent much of her early career in communications, Kawien’s leadership style is one of listening and empowering, which she puts into practice at the many workshops and conferences she presents at, such as Fairtrade International’s ‘Changing Trade-Changing Lives’. Kawien’s geographic focus is Africa, Asia and Latin America, where she’s contributed towards her big passion, which is to bridge the economic inequality gap for those living in less fortunate circumstances.
