North Star to attend 21st International AIDS Conference

In less than one month, the 21st International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2016) will be held at the International Conference Centre in Durban, South Africa. We are thrilled and extremely proud to announce that, for the first time, North Star Alliance will be hosting an exhibition stand at the prestigious conference.

Following-up last week’s 2016 High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS, AIDS 2016 represents the next big milestone in UNAIDS Fast-Track strategy. As the largest gathering of its kind in the world, the bi-annual AIDS Conference will bring together more than 18‚000 international delegates and attendees, including famous public figures such as Prince Harry and Charlize Theron.

Championing the needs and rights of hard-to-reach populations, a handful of staff from all regions will have the privilege to represent North Star at the event. The team will work diligently over the four days to share, discuss and promote our model of access to health-care for hard-to-reach populations in sub-Saharan Africa.

AIDS 2016’s theme ‘Access Equity Rights Now’ is framed as a call to action to work together and reach the people who still lack access to comprehensive treatment, prevention, care and support services. Fitting seamlessly with North Star’s values and overall mission, we are proud to have the opportunity to contribute to the AIDS 2016 conversation, demonstrating our own unique model to bring health to hard-to-reach communities.

Currently working around the clock to make this event a success for North Star, our AIDS 2016 team will soon unveil our ambitious campaign and plans for the event. #ExpectUs
