Eight years ago yesterday, in a stuffy lawyer’s office in Amsterdam, the articles of incorporation for “North Star Foundation” were signed and a star was born.
In 2010 we changed our name officially to North Star Alliance to show that we were an inclusive organisation that invited those who cared about health and mobility to join.
From our first Roadside Wellness Centre in Mwanza, Malawi, to the 34 we run today in 13 countries, we’ve come a long way in a short period of time. In May this year we treated our 1,000,000th patient.
But we haven´t done this alone.
On behalf of the North Star team, thank you to all of our partners and supporters for your hard work. Together we have made something that is most definitely worth celebrating.
