Job Description

  • Examining, diagnosing, treating and counselling of target groups at the RWC.
  • Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) among long distance truck drivers, sex workers and the community members with whom they interact. This shall be done in accordance with the National guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health or other relevant Ministries
  • Ensure effective use of syndromic approach to management of STIs, Malaria and other common illnesses
  • Management of Opportunistic Infections (OIs)
  • Screening for Tuberculosis
  • Administration and management of ART
  • Adherence monitoring of use of medication particularly for TB and HIV cases
  • Develop proper records of all HIV and TB infected patients served and ensure follow up
  • Provide health education and counselling to the truck drivers, commercial sex workers and communities with whom they interact
  • Recording data according to North Star Alliance’s specifications
  • Preparing and submitting reports within set deadlines
  • Meet all performance targets
  • Refer all cases requiring specialized care and management to relevant health facilities and or services
  • Organize outreach activities in collaboration with other partners and stakeholders
  • Any other duties which may be assigned by the Regional Director from time to time


Job Qualifications

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized College
  • Must be registered by the Clinical Officers’ Council
  • A degree in Clinical Medicine or Social sciences will be an added Advantage
  • Over 3 years’ experience in a reputable health institution/Facility
  • At least 1 years’ experience in HIV AIDS Management
  • Strong personality with good leadership skills
  • Ability to prepare timely reports
  • Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and communication Skills
  • Proficient in English and local languages
  • IT literate (Word, Excel and internet)
  • Familiar with local structures
  • Ability to work with key populations

HIV Testing and Counselling Provider

Job Description

  • Provide quality HTS services at the RWC and hotspots in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health in Kenya
  • Mobilize eligible KPs eligible for HTS services
  • Link to care all positive Clients

Job Qualifications

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or higher
  • Certificate in Voluntary Counselling and Testing from National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCOP)
  • Must have been enrolled in Proficiency Test with satisfactory results
  • Experience in providing HTS to Key Population
  • Strong personality with good leadership skills

  • Unquestionable confidentiality

Data Assistant

Job Description

  • Keeping track of received data and source documents
  • Compiling, sorting, and verifying accuracy of data to be entered
  • Collate, consolidate and prepare reports of program data, conduct basic data analysis and interpretation as required for reporting
  • Conducting follow up to those responsible for preparing of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Performing data entry from source documents into computer following prescribed formats
  • Confirming accuracy of data as per the data variables indicated on the forms
  • Comparing data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors
  • Reviewing and making necessary corrections to information entered
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system at the sites
  • Generating simple data reports and responds to ad hoc inquiries regarding entered data as may be the case
  • Assuring protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back up per day
  • Ensure timely and proper documentation of key findings during a supervision visit in the MoH supervision book and proper updating of the CQI file
  • Ensuring that confidentiality of data collected and stored are strictly maintained at every level of the data handling process
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

Job Description

  • Manage and organize client files at the service sites
  • Accurately enter data into various data-bases
  • Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods

Project Accountant – Re-advertised

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and self-driven Project Accountant to be based in Nakuru to work in an HIV prevention Care and treatment project.

The overall objective of the project is to increase access and coverage for HIV prevention, care and treatment services towards achieving the “90-90-90” targets.


Job Description

  • Project financial record keeping
  • Entering various transactions into the accounting system on a daily basis and filing all financial records appropriately in line with the filing system
  • Ensuring that Wellness centres are well supplied in a timely manner
  • Processing Purchase orders and payments
  • Ensuring that all requisite procurement procedures have been followed and the requisite support documentation is available and appropriately filed
  • Preparing donor reports and submitting them within the stipulated deadlines
  • Preparing internal financial reports (Budget monitoring reports, etc) on a monthly basis by the 13th day of the following month
  • Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
  • Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects
  • Maintaining the Assets register. Updating regularly and arranging for Assets verification twice a year
  • Carrying out bank and other accounts reconciliations and preparing reconciliation statements on a monthly basis by the 13th day of the following month
  • Ensuring that all bills and statutory deductions are paid in time to avoid penalties
  • Arranging for physical cash counts once a quarter at the centre level
  • Ensuring adherence to the financial procedures
  • Participating in Budget preparation and review
  • Maintaining Project records
  • Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required and respond to any queries raised
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax returns related to project on a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project accounting
  • Working knowledge of USAID funded projects is a must
  • A good understanding of the health landscape in Kenya would also be desirable
  • Proficiency in electronic accounting systems
  • An excellent communicator with strong writing skills
