Job Description
- Create awareness and provide education about the existence of HIV testing services.
- Lead in the mobilization of clients for HTS.
- Provide pre/post-test HIV counseling ensuring that clients understand risk factors, prevention methods, and other relevant issues.
- Provide confidential HIV testing to clients, as per national HTS guidelines.
- Provide ongoing counselling and make relevant referrals for ongoing support.
- Always ensure the quality of HTS services.
- Ensure sufficient supply of test kits and consumables at the Centre.
- Document and maintain accurate HTS records including referrals and report on referral outcomes.
- Compile and submit HTS reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis within set deadlines to the supervisor.
- Timely requests for all the necessary consumables for undertaking HTS activities.
- Meet all performance targets.
- Refer all cases requiring specialized care and management to relevant health facilities and or services.
- Organize outreach activities in collaboration with other partners and stakeholders.
- Participate in Peer Education activities.
- Participate in HTS QA activities like PT, counselling supervision, etc.
- Ensure HTS optimization in the facility.
- Provide safe index services to all new clients and all priority population.
- Participate in outreach activities.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Education & Experience
- Diploma level course in social or health sciences.
- 2 years’ experience in HTS work.
- Certificate in HTS accredited by NASCOP.
- Conducted and Passed Proficiency Tests.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
- Excellent written, listening, and oral communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
- Excellent use of the android application and computer literacy, particularly in the use of MS Office.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Unquestionable confidentiality.
- Ability to conceptualize and understand program needs.
- Familiar with local community structures.
- Experience working with USG funded projects desirable.

Project Accountant - Nakuru County, Kenya

Job Description
- Projectt Financial record keeping.
- Entering various transactions into the accounting system on a daily basis and filing all financial records appropriately in line with the filing system.
- Ensuring that Wellness centres are well supplied in a timely manner.
- Processing Purchase orders and payments.
- Ensuring that all requisite procurement procedures have been followed and the requisite support documentation is available and appropriately filed.
- Preparing donor reports and submitting them within the stipulated deadlines.
- Preparing internal financial reports (Budget monitoring reports, etc) on a monthly basis by the 13th day of the following month.
- Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management.
- Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects.
- Maintaining the Assets register. Updating regularly and arranging for Assets verification twice a year.
- Carrying out bank and other accounts reconciliations and preparing reconciliation statements on a monthly basis by the 13th day of the following month.
- Ensuring that all bills and statutory deductions are paid in time to avoid penalties.
- Arranging for physical cash counts once a quarter at the centre level.
- Ensuring adherence to the financial procedures.

- Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required and respond to any queries raised.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax returns related to project on a timely manner.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- At least 3 years’ experience in project accounting
- Working knowledge of USAID funded projects is a must.
- A good understanding of the health landscape in Kenya would also be desirable.
- Proficiency in electronic accounting systems.
- An excellent communicator with strong writing skills.

• Examining, diagnosing, treating and counselling of target groups at the RWC.
• Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) among long distance truck drivers, sex workers and the community members with whom they interact. This shall be done in accordance with the National guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health or other relevant Ministries.
• Ensure effective use of syndromic approach to management of STIs, Malaria and other common illnesses.
• Management of Opportunistic Infections (OIs).
• Screening for Tuberculosis.
