North Star Alliance is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to lead our 5-month Mpox vaccination program in Kenya’s Busia, Mombasa, and Nakuru counties. This role is crucial to Kenya’s national response to the Mpox outbreak declared in July 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of all clinical aspects of the Mpox vaccination program
- Coordinate with County health departments and stakeholders
- Provide clinical oversight for Mpox screening, vaccination, and case management
- Establish and maintain clinical protocols aligned with Ministry of Health guidelines
- Supervise community sensitization efforts and develop strategies to increase vaccine acceptance
- Monitor vaccination coverage and prepare regular progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Clinical Medicine with active professional registration
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience (3+ years in vaccination or infectious disease management)
- Strong understanding of vaccination protocols and cold chain management
- Experience working with key and vulnerable populations
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Proficiency in English and Kiswahili
