
High blood pressure (also known as raised blood pressure or hypertension) can lead to heart attack, stroke and other serious health problems. It affects more than one in three adults and leads to more than nine million deaths worldwide every year. Nowhere is this impact felt more than in communities across Africa.
This week, in recognition of World Health Day, we’re raising awareness about high blood pressure, the impact its having across Africa and around the world, and about what steps individuals can take to control it. To help share this important information, we’ve put together a new infographic that we hope you’ll take a look at and share with your friends and peers.
