In September last year, we asked representatives from all three regions to define what made North Star people so special. They came up with four core qualities that make us stand out from the rest:

Entrepreneurial Spirit

  • We make the best out of our situation
  • We explore and embrace new ideas
  • We are committed to innovation

In their classic book “Built to Last”, management gurus Michael Collins and Jerry Porras found that successful organisations had more than just a clear idea of where they wanted to go in the future. In their own words: Core values are the handful of guiding principles by which a company navigates. They require no external justification… Instead of changing its core values, a great company will change its markets—seek out different customers—in order to remain true to its core values. When I read I read the values that the team came up with at the workshop last year I knew that they had hit the nail on the head: this is what makes us who we are! So at the end of the day when you’ve finished your shift and you’re heading home, ask yourself one question: Did I deliver PIQuE performance today?
