At North Star we offer a full-time internship programme for (under)graduates from different fields. We offer highly motivated candidates the opportunity to work on expanding our global network of partnerships, conducting independent research and working together with all internal departments on facilitating operations. As we are a small team there is much space for personal initiative and cooperation while active guidance and feedback is provided. The programme is run twice a year, with a possibility to start in September or March. Duties
The focus of the intern’s work will be supporting the organisation in regards to fundraising and communication. Tasks will be performed under supervision and include:
- Targeting of potential institutional or governmental donors;
- Finding potential interested partners, companies, NGO’s in Europe to cooperate with;
- Doing research into new markets and opportunities for North Star’s work;
- Supporting the communication and partner relations department.
Level of Education
- Undergraduate Degree required; a Graduate Degree is considered an asset.
Experience and Desirable Skills
- A strong written and oral command of English; command of Dutch is considered an asset;
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, and other standard computing skills (Internet, Email, etc.);
- Some administrative experience required;
- Good analytical skills and ability to see the big picture;
- Self-starting, resourceful, organised;
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
